Plug any Bluetooth OBD-II adapter into the port under your dash. DashBoost turns your iPhone into a live gauge cluster: speed, revs, boost, temperatures, horsepower, trouble codes. And it lets you build the cluster yourself.

Classic Dashboard

MAF in g/s, intake temperature, timing advance in °bf/TDC, boost, and estimated horsepower and torque.
Error Code Check
Stored, pending and permanent codes, each with its plain-English description. Clear them when you’ve fixed it.

Every readiness monitor listed, and a straight answer on whether you’ll pass.
Datalog
Ten columns streamed to a CSV as you drive. The file survives the app being killed. Share it straight to your tuner.

3,071 trouble codes, built in.
Scan for stored, pending and permanent codes and get the description right there. No search, no signal. The whole code database ships inside the app, so it works in a parking garage or on a shoulder with one bar. Fixed it? Clear the codes and re-scan.
Mode 01 · PID 01
Know before you drive to the smog station.
DashBoost reads the readiness monitors your state’s inspection actually checks: misfire, fuel system, catalyst, oxygen sensor and heater, EGR, evaporative. Then it tells you plainly whether you’re ready or need a few more drive cycles.
Performance measurement
0-60 metrics on demand.
A three-second countdown, a live stopwatch, and six splits timed by GPS. Every run is saved, so you can prove the intake did something.
Timed by GPS, not the OBD-II sensor, and meant for a closed course. Please don’t do this on public roads.
No network stack
It never phones home.
Not “we respect your privacy”. There are no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporter, no ads and no servers of ours. Your dashboards, your logs and your runs stay on your device. Only the map screen goes online, and that talks to Apple Maps.
Nothing to sign up for
Install it and press connect. There’s no account because there’s no server to have an account on.
Nothing collected
No analytics SDK, no tracking, no crash reporting. Your driving is nobody’s dataset.
Works with no signal
The trouble-code database is inside the app. Bluetooth talks to the adapter; GPS only runs during a timed run or on the map.

A car built after 1996
US cars from 1996, EU petrol from 2001 and diesel from 2004 have an OBD-II port, under the dash on the driver’s side.
A Bluetooth OBD-II adapter
Sold separately, roughly $20–40. Bluetooth LE only. The Wi-Fi adapters won’t work.
